Wood & Composites
  • Softwoods & Hardwoods: Pine, oak, maple, walnut—no problem. Great for furniture, cabinetry, and signage.
  • Plywood & MDF: Clean cuts for construction, displays, and decorative panels.
  • Laminates & Veneers: Ideal for custom interiors and detailed inlays.
Plastics
  • Acrylic (Perspex/Plexiglas): Smooth, polished edges—perfect for signage and displays.
  • Polycarbonate, HDPE, PVC: Used in industrial parts, enclosures, and prototypes.
  • ABS & Foam Boards: Lightweight and easy to shape for packaging or modeling.
Metals (with proper tooling & cooling)
  • Aluminum: Easily machinable—used in signage, brackets, and enclosures.
  • Brass & Copper: For decorative panels or electrical components.
Others
  • Foam & Rubber: Great for packaging, gaskets, and prototyping.
  • Composites (like carbon fiber): Used in aerospace, automotive, and sports gear.
  • Stone & Marble: Some routers can engrave or lightly mill softer stones with diamond tooling

Materials to avoid

Mild Steel: Possible with the right bit and slower feed rates, though not ideal for heavy-duty steel work. We would prefer the Fiber laser or Plasma cutting.
